Day 54 - How to Respond to Reactions
Saturday, 31 January 2015
Day 49 - Speed Kills
I do not know if this is advertised in all countries or only here, but we have the “Arrive Alive” advertisements on the radio, tv and on Billboards which is basically to tell people things like “speed kills” and “don’t drink and drive”. The adverts are built around these points. I am looking at the point of speed kills and how it can be used on more points than just driving.
If you look at how you interact with people, I am sure you have memories of arguments about inconsequential points that could have been avoided by simply slowing down and taking a moment to listen to each other and discuss a point without being aggressive and trying to make the other see it your way. The principle that I am looking at is taking everything one point at a time. In terms of a conversation, you hear and consider what the other person is saying and if you are unclear you ask them to repeat. In terms of your process you stop yourself from being overwhelmed by points and using the feeling of “it is too much” to give yourself an excuse to fall, by looking at one point at a time and working with that point until it is clear. I understand that while you are working on that one point that there will be others that come up. When this occurs I suggest you write it down on the side and once you have completed the point you are working on you can get to the ones that came up while you were writing.
Looking at the speed kills point and how all of this ties together you can see how when you are trying to accomplish something whether it is you trying to bring your point across in an argument or you are trying to work on yourself and your process. The point that is starting to become apparent is that we tend to rush to get what we want and have no patience when it comes to considering what it will actually take to get it. This is what I see if I place the point of speed kills into my daily life. I see how that point can impact more than driving, it can also be a tool to assist in working with rushing through life, because when we rush we tend to think that our actions affect only ourselves which is the same as when we drive in a dangerous way and think that is only us as the driver who is accepting the risk of an accident without realizing that when we have or cause an accident that there are others involved and that they get hurt and that it would be our responsibility.
The next time you see yourself wanting to rush to get what you want, consider that there are consequences for our actions and that those consequences affect the ones around you too.

Day 36 - The Power of Community
The power of community is a documentary about how Cuba survived when their
oil supplies were cut off. You can watch the video here:
I watched this documentary and the point that was made apparent was that if people don’t manage to get out of their personal little bubbles by the time that oil runs out, there is very little chance that human civilization will survive.
The documentary was displaying how Cubans had to learn to work together in a Community to grow their own food without the use of modern technology and pesticides.
Imagine if there was no oil, you wouldn’t have electricity, pesticides, petrol, plastic, etc. How would you survive?
Without the petrol and pesticides, modern farming would be impossible – meaning that food would be hard to come by. What the Cubans did is learn to farm utilizing every space they had available and to farm by working WITH nature instead of against it.
At one point in the documentary they make an interesting statement in the line of: If you asked all of Cuba to turn off their lights for a day, they would do it but, if you asked all Americans to turn off their lights for a day, they would say ‘Why? I paid for it!’
It makes you think that the only way people will learn is when the oil actually runs out and they have to change through pain and suffering instead of preventing the problem before it occurs, as it is an eventuality.
The Equal Life Foundation and Equal Money Capitalism suggest to re-grow and re-cultivate community-based living.

Day 8 - Assassin's Creed Mania
Recently I went to watch a movie in the cinema and as usual they played a whole bunch of advertisements. As the advertisements were playing the people in the cinema were either applauding or booing the advertisements based on if they were good or not. The one advertisement was for a game called Assassin’s Creed 3 and the advertisement was quite vague as it started but when the main character’s image came onto the screen the crowd applauded with a lot more vigour than before. The game series is one of the most popular games at the moment and one of the games that I really enjoy playing, but that is for another time…
The point that I am trying to make is just how energetic the people in the audience became over as simple a thing as a picture of a man – animated or not – it was just a picture. This reveals to me just how brainwashed people are as to their reaction to a picture. I realized that as I have also been anticipating this game’s arrival, I also reacted with an energy build-up of excitement.
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to be affected by the energy of people around me
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to go into energy over images
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to be excited over a game
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to be influenced by energy
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to go into an energy state of anticipation over the prospect of playing a game that I believe I will enjoy solely based on my experiences with the previous games in the series
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to judge people based on their reactions to images
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to become angry when I realized how “brainwashed” myself and others are in terms of pictures
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to be influenced by pictures
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to be affected by the way pictures are used for programming
I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to become angry when seeing that I was affected by the programming that is placed in the formation of pictures
When and as I go into energy because of pictures I stop, breathe and let go of the energy. I realize that the energy build-up is a pre-programmed response to stimulus and is used to charge the mind system and I commit myself to not be affected by the programming of the picture and instead breathe and walk in the moment without going into pre-programmed desires
When and as I see myself going into anger because of going into pre-programmed energy desires I stop, breathe and let go of the anger. I realize that the anger I go into is out of guilt and shame of being affected by pre-programmed desires and I commit myself to not go into the guilt, shame and anger and instead breathe and walk in the moment without going into self-anger, guilt and shame
When and as I see myself going into judgement of others I stop, breathe and let go of the judgement. I realise that I go into judgement to stop myself from realising that I am doing the same as the person that I am judging and I commit myself to not go into judgment and instead breathe and walk in the moment without going into judgment
